Dr. Otto Beck, a distinguished orthodontist, was born in Germany in 1949 and has been practicing orthodontics for nearly 40 years. In 1979, he made Jamaica his home after practicing in both Jamaica and Germany for a few years. Dr. Beck is the founder of Tingrinners 3.0, where his passion for orthodontics shines through. Beyond his professional achievements, he has a rich history in sports, having been a member of the Jamaica national squash team for almost a decade. Additionally, his interests extend to reading and playing keyboards, with a unique past as a member of a ‘Rock and Roll’ group that helped finance his university education.
Dr. Beck’s academic journey is marked by excellence, having graduated from the Dental School at the Free University of Berlin with top honors in 1974. He furthered his education with a 3-year postgraduate program at Justus Liebig University of Giessen, Germany, and pursued advanced studies under renowned orthodontists in the United States and Europe. Dr. Beck is a distinguished member of various orthodontic associations, including the World Association of Orthodontists, the American Association of Orthodontists, and several others, showcasing his commitment to the field.
Family holds a special place in Dr. Beck’s life; he is married to Jeannie, nee Hastings, and is a proud father of four children: Daniel, Phillip, Jeannie, and Lisa. Alongside his professional endeavors, Dr. Beck cherishes his time with his family, his dedication to orthodontics, his love for sports, and his musical talent on the keyboards.
